Jenna Hennebry, a Laurier/BSIA associate professor, has been awarded a $125,000 grant from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to launch a Global Compact of Migration (GCM) Gender+ Tool of resources for policy development that will utilize Canada’s GBA+. This project will contribute to advancing gender equality and empowering women on the move by supporting the gender-responsive implementation of the GCM.

Jenna Hennebry is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Studies and the Balsillie School of International Affairs, and Co-Founder of the International Migration Research Centre at Wilfrid Laurier University. She has carried out globally comparative research on labour migration governance, migrant worker rights and health, as well as gender, mobilities and migration for over 15 years.
